Just a quick note to say…SNOW !!  The “S” word.  Termination Dust.  We woke up to a winter wonderland on Saturday morning.

September 29 snowfall picture borrowed from KTUU’s website

It’s a little early and it didn’t last long … I didn’t even get a shot of it in my own back yard before it melted … but it was a shock all the same.  Many yards still have small white patches in the shady corners.  My friend who has a cabin near mine said we didn’t get any snow at all up there, but it won’t be long!

I’ll post more of my own pictures later in the week.  Don’t worry, there’ll be plenty more snow!

Wow, your summers are sure short lived, but I guess the beauty of that area makes up for it! I went for a weekend camping trip this weekend and it was almost 90!! Im ready for some cooler weather to make it down here in FL but no “S” word!!

    • Hi Pam,
Yes certainly has been a short summer this year anyway! Hopefully the weather will warm up enough for me to mow the lawn one more time at least! I can’t imagine camping in 90 degrees! Whew, I have trouble sleeping when it’s above 70!

Well I do cheat….I usually go to the State Parks that have elect hook ups so I can run a/c, thats the only way I can get out in our warm weather!

      • LOL! “Roughing it” in hot weather is different than in cool weather for sure! The important thing is we’re getting outside and enjoying the world around us…
